This body of work represents finding subtlety within the landscape that encompasses us each day and the desire to share my happiness through painting. As I lay in the grass away from the bustle of the beach below I observe the beauty of the sky on a summer day. The light of day is fleeting even in a photograph. These paintings represent a single minute past. Everyday the view changes and we are presented a new composition.
Our lives continually change. We strive to capture everything each day, but this is impossible. It is for this reason that I wake each morning with a desire to learn more and share with students and my audience what I know as an artist.
