Giclee Prints: Limited Editions of 50
On Paper & Hand-Embellished Canvases
Giclée prints, both on paper and canvas are uncanny in their ability to mimic the original art. The following three Original Oil Paintings are available in Giclée prints. Commissioned paintings can be set-up for Giclée printing if desired.
Giclées are limited edition reproductions from original paintings. The word Giclée, pronounced (Gee-Clay) is a French term that loosely translated means “the spray” referring to the fact that a Giclée print is a digital art print produced on an ink jet printer that “sprays” the ink on to the paper or canvas. Their average life is 100 - 125 years under normal household conditions. Giclées are printed with water-based, archival, fade resistant Epson Ultrachrome inks. Giclées are printed at 1440 - 2880 dpi. This makes for remarkable detail and color density. The artist can now significantly enlarge the scanned paintings without pixilation, distortion or loss of color on both paper and canvas reproductions.
One of the greatest benefits for the collector is the ability to request paper and canvas prints that are custom fit to your living arrangements. Hand-Embellished Giclée canvas prints are prints that I personally work back into adding touches of color and texture to make them look and feel like an original. Canvas prints, like the original oil need no glass or matting. The varnishes I apply are 100% protective of UVL and waterproof making canvas prints exceedingly durable and care for the owner simple.
