Invigorated by the arts since I was a young boy my passion and knowledge progresses with each new painting. My love to paint lies genuinely within the landscape that encompasses us each day.
Landscape is ever changing, remarkable, and too often taken for granted. When I approach the easel whether it is within the studio or en plein air I am enthusiastic. My aspiration is to share with you the warmth of the summer sun and the chill of the foreboding storm.
Contemporary artists around the world influence my painting with each of their own perceptions. Masters, Claude Monet, Frederick Remington, and Winslow Homer each with their exceptional approaches interest me significantly. Their precise ability to capture the essence of a landscape in just a few strokes is truly incredible. Masterful artists, past and contemporary inspire me to share my passion with you and students of the arts.
Teaching students kindergarten through twelfth grade proves to be exceptionally rewarding. The opportunity to share knowledge, skills, and the art spirit is bliss.
There is a desire within me to reawaken audiences of the exquisiteness found in nature. My time spent on the St. Lawrence River, in the foothills of the Adirondacks, and up the High Peaks inspire my artistry daily. It’s always a pleasure sharing my passion with those that I am surrounded by in this beautiful world.
